El Dorado, KS (March 17, 2024) – There were confirmed injuries after a car crash in the El Dorado area on Saturday, March 16. The collision took place that afternoon at around 3:04 p.m. on Interstate 35 SB in Butler County. A 2013 Honda Accord driven by 42-year-old Christopher Hokett of Oklahoma City was headed southbound when the driver failed to navigate a curve.
Hokett swerved to avoid hitting an inside barrier wall and collided with a 2017 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 40-year-old Ryan Jones-Salisbury of Columbia, MO. Hokett was transported to Wesley Hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. Jones-Salibusy and his passenger, 40-year-old Justin Clarke also from Columbia, complained of injuries and were provided aid by attending medical personnel. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
