Topeka, KS (March 17, 2024) – Two people were hurt after a rollover accident in the Topeka area on Saturday, March 16. The crash occurred on Interstate 335 near mile marker 175 early that morning at around 11 a.m. Local reports revealed that a GMC Terrain was heading northbound on the turnpike when she fell asleep due to fatigue.
The driver quickly woke up and over-corrected to the right, according to reports from local authorities. The vehicle left the roadway where it overturned several times before coming to a rest in a ditch. The driver and a Texas resident traveling in the vehicle were reportedly hurt in the accident. The 22-year-old woman driving the vehicle suffered serious injuries. Both victims were transported to a local hospital in Topeka for treatment.
