Dodge City, KS (March 19, 2024) – A passenger was hurt after a two-vehicle crash in the Dodge City area on Monday, March 18. The accident occurred that afternoon at around 1:15 p.m. in Ford County US-56 near Lariat Way. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched after being notified of an injury collision.
Local reports revealed that a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by 61-year-old Oscar Alarcon Gonzalez of Dodge City was stopped on the highway waiting to make a left turn. A 2017 Toyota Tacoma pickup driven by 86-year-old Louis C. Lostroh crashed into the rear of the Ram. A passenger in the Tacoma, later identified as 85-year-old Martha Lostroh of Woodlands, TX, was transported to St. Catherine’s Hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. No other injuries were reported in the accident. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
