Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Kansas
Traveling as a pedestrian is never completely safe. When you travel near a busy road or even a road with just a single car, there is always the chance of being hit when traveling on foot. Unfortunately, pedestrians are not entirely safe in Kansas. The pedestrian fatality rate has experienced a drastic uptick in recent years, highlighting the importance of maintaining safe roads. An estimated 17 percent of traffic fatalities in 2021 involved pedestrians and the most common age of victims was from 55 to 64 years old. If you lost someone in a deadly crash you may be able to pursue a wrongful death claim in order to regain lost compensation.
There is too much at risk to leave your case to chance. It is often difficult for grieving families to pursue compensation on their own. Life is never easy after such a tragic loss, and you likely will not be in the appropriate state of thought to pursue a legal claim alone.
