Overland Park, KS (March 28, 2024) – On Wednesday, March 27, a driver was hurt after a hit-and-run crash in the area of Overland Park. The accident was reported early that morning at around 6:17 a.m. on Interstate 435 NB. Local reports revealed that a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV driven by 40-year-old Albert Allen of Kansas City, MO was headed northbound in the middle lane of the interstate leading up to the accident.
A 2017 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 23-year-old Piper Swartz of Bonner Springs was traveling north in the third lane. The Tahoe sideswiped the Malibu, and Allen proceeded to flee the scene. Swartz suffered injuries and was taken to Overland Park Regional Hospital for treatment. No updates on the accident are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
