Little Valley, KS (April 4, 2024) – One driver was hurt and another was killed after a two-vehicle collision in the Little Valley area on Wednesday, April 3. The deadly collision took place at the intersection of KS-61 and Arapaho Road early that morning around 7:27 a.m. Local reports revealed that a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by 92-year-old Harry Neufeldt of Inman was traveling westbound at the time of the accident.

Intersection Crashes in Kansas
Driving is an everyday thing for most people in Kansas, and we travel through intersections nearly every time we hit the road. Most of us probably do not think twice about it, either. However, when you look at the statistics, it could change that. Across the country, nearly 40 percent of crashes occur at crossroads. While that is already bad enough, almost 50 percent of injury crashes and 20 percent of roadway deaths are intersection accidents.
