Marion, KS (April 13, 2024) – A driver was injured after a two-vehicle crash in the Marion area on Friday, April 12. The incident was reported on US-56 EB near E. 200 Road that afternoon around 1:15 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 2022 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by 23-year-old Abulkosimi Berdizoda of Brooklyn, NY, was traveling southbound on 200 Road when they failed to stop at a stop sign.
Upon entering the intersection, an oncoming 2010 Nissan Murano driven by 25-year-old Celeste Miller of Edgerton swerved to avoid colliding with the pickup. The Nissan crashed into a light pole before coming to a rest in a nearby ditch. Miller was transported to Olathe Medical Center for treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing accident investigation.
