Distracted Driving Crashes in Kansas
Distracted driving has become a major factor in many fatal car accidents in the United States. It is common to see drivers looking down using their phones while driving in Kansas. It just takes one text message to travel the length of a football field at freeway speeds. In a recent year, distracted driving claimed the lives of over 3,200 Americans and left nearly 400,000 others with serious injuries. Texting, conversing with a passenger, and fiddling with the GPS while operating a vehicle are examples of distracted driving practices that increase the risk of an unplanned collision. It can be difficult to recover yourself after a major crash.
