Waco, KS (May 1, 2024) – On Tuesday, April 30, there were reported injuries after a vehicle collision in the Waco area. The accident occurred at the intersection of K-42 and Maize Road early that morning around 8:33 a.m. It was reported that a 2005 Buick LeSabre and a 2019 Ford F-150 pickup truck collided at the scene.
It was later revealed that 43-year-old Mara Kate Reida of Clearwater, KS, was heading eastbound in the Buick on K-42 when she ran a red light. Reida collided with the northbound pickup driven by 60-year-old William Allen Turner of Andover. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to render aid to the involved parties. Turner suffered injuries and was treated at the scene by attending medical personnel. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
