Junction City, KS (May 27, 2024) – On Sunday, May 26, four people were injured after a car accident in the Junction City area. The accident was reported on K-57 just north of the US-77 highway late that night around 8:16 p.m. Local reports indicated that a black 2019 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a red 2024 Toyota Rav4 SUV collided at the scene.
It was later revealed that Ledger J. Rose of Salina was heading west in the Chevy on K-57 when he failed to yield the right of way to the Toyota, driven by Haily N. Zuniga of Loveland, CO. Four occupants in the Rav4 were transported to a nearby hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. Ledger was later arrested for driving under the influence and failing to obey a yield sign. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
