Wichita, KS (May 29, 2024) – There were multiple injuries reported after a car accident in the Wichita area on Tuesday, May 28. The accident was reported at the intersection of K-96 and Rock Road that afternoon around 5:18 p.m. Local reports revealed that three vehicles were traveling westbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
It was later reported that 40-year-old Kristen Rowe of Wichita was driving a 2016 Jeep Cherokee SUV as traffic started to slow on the highway. Rowe crashed into the rear of a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 64-year-old Kevin Burnett of Garden City. The impact pushed the Dodge into the back of a 2010 Mazda 3 driven by 42-year-old Angela Jabara of Andover. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Rowe, Burnett, and a passenger in the Dodge, 83-year-old Ortega Rodriguez of Garden City, were transported to Wesley Medical Center Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
