Drum Creek, KS (June 27, 2024) – Three people were injured after a head-on collision in the Drum Creek area on Wednesday, June 26. The incident was reported that afternoon around 1:12 p.m. at the intersection of US-160 and County Road 4500. Local reports revealed that a 46-year-old woman from Parsons was driving a 2018 Ford F150 pickup truck eastbound on the highway at the time of the crash. 

At the same time, a 38-year-old man from Branson, MO, was driving a 2004 Toyota Highlander westbound. Local reports revealed that the Ford failed to stop as a vehicle in front of it was stopping. The pickup veered into westbound traffic and collided with the oncoming Highlander. The driver of the F-150 was transported to a hospital in Missouri in serious condition. The driver of the Toyota was also hospitalized at a Missouri hospital in serious condition. A passenger in the vehicle was also hurt and hospitalized for treatment. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
