Augusta, KS (June 28, 2024) – On Thursday, June 27, a driver was hurt following a two-vehicle crash in the Augusta area. The incident was reported that night around 5 p.m. on US-54 near mile marker 236.3. Local reports revealed that 58-year-old Robert L. Cundiff of Augusta was driving a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck when he tried to make a left turn onto the highway.
The pickup entered the path of a westbound 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 61-year-old Heidi Fry of Edmond, OK. The two vehicles collided at the scene. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide the necessary aid. Fry was injured in the collision and later transported by ambulance to Wesley Medical Center for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the incident is currently available.
