Manhattan, KS (June 29, 2024) – A driver was injured following a two-vehicle collision in the Manhattan area on Friday, June 28. The crash was reported at the intersection of K-18 and Scenic Drive that afternoon around 2:53 p.m. Local reports indicated that 22-year-old Antrevion Leander George Watson of Manhattan was riding a 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6 trying to navigate a roundabout at the time of the crash.
It was reported that a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck entered the roundabout and failed to yield the Watson. The two vehicles soon collided. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Watson was hurt and transported to Via Christi Manhattan Hospital by ambulance for the treatment of sustained injuries. No updates on the crash are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
