Holton, KS (July 12, 2024) – There were reported injuries after a crash involving a commercial vehicle in the Holton area on Thursday, July 11. The incident was reported that afternoon around 1:30 p.m. on US-75. Local reports revealed that a semi-tractor-trailer was traveling southbound when the vehicle drove off the edge of the highway.
The vehicle continued traveling south where it hit an embankment near Rodgers Drive. The driver overcorrected, causing the rig to overturn and come to a rest on its side on the highway. A 25-year-old passenger in the semi from Winnipeg, Canada was transported by ambulance to a Topeka hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. No updates on the condition of the victim have been provided at this time.
