Kansas City, KS (July 30, 2024) – Two drivers were hurt after a collision in the Kansas City area on Monday, July 29. The crash took place on Interstate 70 EB near mile marker 411 that afternoon, around 4 p.m. A 2019 BMW X3 driven by 46-year-old Emily Chellgren of Albuquerque, NM, and a 2023 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 33-year-old Tyler Beisel of Independence, MO, were traveling eastbound on the interstate leading up to the crash. 

For unknown reasons, the Ford slowed and came to a stop. The BMW crashed into the rear of the pickup. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide the necessary support. Both drivers were injured in the crash. Chellgren was transported to Providence Hospital by ambulance for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
