Lincoln, KS (July 30, 2024) – A multi-vehicle crash outside of Lincoln on Monday, July 29, resulted in injuries. The collision took place on Interstate 135 near mile marker 5.4 that afternoon, around 2:10 p.m. Local reports revealed that 21-year-old Azarion Lindsey of Wichita was traveling southbound in a 1999 Dodge Durango in the third lane as a 2011 Ford Fusion and a 2006 Honda Ridgeline were headed south in the second lane.
Lindsey changed lanes and crashed into the rear of the Ford. The driver of the Fusion, a 17-year-old Wichita resident, struck a barrier wall before crossing the lanes and hitting the Ridgeline. The driver of the Ford was injured and transported to St. Joseph Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. No other injuries were reported in the collision. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more updates will be provided as it continues.
