Overland Park, KS (August 7, 2024) – Two people were injured after a car accident in the area of Overland Park on Tuesday, August 6. The collision took place on Interstate 35 NB near 95th Street early that morning around 9:24 a.m. Local reports revealed that a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country driven by 51-year-old Nancy K. Mugo of Olathe broke down in lane three on the interstate.
The broken-down vehicle was hit by an oncoming 2021 Jeep Wrangler driven by 78-year-old Edward L. Pasley of Lenexa. The Jeep was then rear-ended by a 2020 Chrysler Voyager driven by John M. Crabtree of Kansas City. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene. Mugo and a passenger in the Jeep, 81-year-old Carol R. Pasley of Lenexa, were injured in the collision. Mugo was transported to the Kansas University Medical Center for treatment, and Carol Pasley was transported to Advent Health Hospital by ambulance. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
