Wichita, KS (August 13, 2024) – A woman was injured after a two-vehicle crash involving a commercial truck in the Wichita area on Monday, August 12. The accident was reported on Interstate 35 SB between Webb Road and Rock Road that afternoon around 1 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 32-year-old woman from El Dorado was driving a 1999 Ford Tauras when she was rear-ended by a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia driven by a 53-year-old male from Manitoba, Canada. 

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid. The injured woman was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews worked to clear the scene, and tow trucks were needed to remove the resulting wreckage and other debris. No updates on the condition of the injured party have been provided. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
