Topeka, KS (August 13, 2024) – Multiple people were injured following a two-vehicle crash in the Topeka area on Monday, August 12. The collision was reported on Interstate 70 WB near mile marker 357.3 that afternoon around 4:25 p.m. Local reports revealed that 31-year-old Daniel I. Pulgarin Munoz of Topeka was driving a 2020 Ford Transit van as he slowed due to traffic on the interstate.
At the same time, a 2022 International truck tractor driven by 38-year-old Lucius Suggs III of Waterloo, IA rear-ended the Ford van. The impact caused the Ford to leave the roadway where it overturned. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid. Munoz and his passengers, 22-year-old Jonathan Ortiz and 22-year-old Ari Rivele, both from Topeka, were injured in the impact. Munoz and Riveles were transported by ambulance to Stormont Vail Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries.
