Superior, KS (August 27, 2024) – A driver was injured after a two-vehicle collision in the Superior area on Monday, August 26. The accident took place at the corner of K-61 and Arapaho Road early that morning around 7:02 a.m. Local reports indicated that the crash occurred as a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 29-year-old Sadie M. Ramage of Little River was traveling north in the right lane on K-61.
Ramage reportedly attempted to make a left turn onto Arapaho Road and entered the path of a 2009 Dodge Charger in the left lane. The Dodge hit the side of the Hyundai as a result. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The driver of the Charger, 35-year-old Shane W. Riggle of McPherson, was injured in the crash. He was transported to Mcpherson Hospital by ambulance for treatment. No further information on the accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are managing an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
