Jetmore, KS (September 20, 2024) – Two people were hurt following an auto accident outside of Jetmore on Thursday, September 19. The incident took place on K-156 early that morning around 8:22 a.m. Local reports revealed that Aaron Anthony Lari of Ness City was traveling northbound on HG County Road 216 in a 2007 Sterling Straight Truck approaching K-156.
At the same time, 34-year-old Cain Villalobos-Hernandez of Great Bend was headed west on K-156 in a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. As the Sterling truck crossed onto K-156, it hit the oncoming Chevy. The Sterling truck spun out and came to a rest blocking all lanes on the highway facing north. Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Villalobos-Hernandez and his passenger, 40-year-old Jessica Juana Villalobos also from Great Bend, were hurt in the collision. Cain was taken to Hodgeman County Health Center for treatment, and Jessica was transported to Wesley Medical Center – Wichita. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
