Columbus, KS (October 18, 2024) – A multi-vehicle crash in Columbus on Thursday, October 17, resulted in injuries. The accident took place at the intersection of KS-7 and US-400 that afternoon around 4:45 p.m. Local reports revealed that 62-year-old Michael Adrian Finley and Altamont was headed south in a 2023 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck on KS-7.
At the same time, 73-year-old Elizabeth Ann Hutson of Harrison, AK was headed east on US-400 in a 2020 Buick Encore as Garcia Leal, Leonel was traveling north on KS-7 in a 2016 Freightliner semi-truck. For unknown reasons, Finley failed to yield at the intersection and was hit by the Buick, which was then hit by the semi. Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. A passenger in the Dodge, 62-year-old Lizabeth Ann of Altamont, was injured and transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment. No further information on the crash is currently available.
