Lawrence, KS (October 22, 2024) – There were reported injuries following a car accident in Lawrence on Sunday, October 20. The crash took place at the corner of W. 9th Street and Iowa Street late that afternoon around 2:51 p.m. At least one person involved in the wreck sustained injuries.
The involved parties were treated at the scene by attending medical personnel before being transferred to a local hospital for further support. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. The severity and number of the resulting injuries have not been determined at this time. The roadway was later reopened to outside traffic after tow trucks were able to remove the resulting debris and wreckage. No updates on the incident are currently available.
