Kansas Intersection Accidents
Statistics show that intersections have an increased risk of a crash. Many drivers violate red lights and stop signs, increasing the risk of colliding with an oncoming vehicle. About one-third of the 700,000 accidents at stop-sign-controlled crossings each year result in documented injuries. Statistics show that serious car accidents usually happen close to an intersection. In most cases, the driver who is at fault fails to yield the right-of-way. Intersection crashes rank among the deadliest on the road since they cause over half of all accidents in the country that result in serious injuries and nearly 20 percent of traffic fatalities.
