Tribune, KS (November 6, 2024) – There were several confirmed injuries after a head-on collision in the Tribune area on Tuesday, November 5. The accident took place at the KS-96 and KS-27 interchange early that morning around 7:34 a.m. Local reports revealed that 42-year-old Erica Marie Rodby of Holcomb was traveling east on KS-96 in a 2006 Chrysler 300 as 40-year-old Laura Lizeth Martinez of Holcomb was headed westbound on the highway in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

For unknown reasons, the Chrysler crossed the center line and entered oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with the Chevy. The 300 came to a rest in a south ditch, while the Silverado came to a rest in the north ditch. Emergency crews were dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. Both drivers and a passenger in the Chrysler, 20-year-old Alex Hunter Rodby of Holcomb, were injured and transported by ambulance to Greeley County Hospital for treatment. No updates on the conditions of the involved parties have been provided. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
