Wichita, KS (November 18, 2024) – On Friday evening, November 15, a two-vehicle accident occurred on I-135 Northbound near milepost 1.7, approximately three-quarters of a mile west of South Hydraulic. The crash was reported at around 6:55 p.m. and involved a Ford Focus and a Subaru Outback. At least one person sustained injuries as a result of the collision.
At this time, it remains unclear which vehicle initiated the crash. The Ford Focus, driven by 71-year-old Magda Fisher of Newton, and the Subaru Outback, driven by 44-year-old Rampha Saengma of Wichita, collided while traveling in adjacent lanes. Emergency responders transported Fisher to Newton Medical Center for treatment of injuries described as a possible injury with complaints of pain. Saengma did not report any injuries. Both vehicles were moved to the shoulder following the crash, and traffic was briefly affected in the area. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation by law enforcement officials.
