Wichita, KS (December 4, 2024) – Several Injured in Collision on Southbound I-135 Near Lincoln

A multi-injury crash occurred on Wednesday morning on southbound I-135 near Lincoln in Wichita. The collision took place around 8:30 a.m. and involved two vehicles. A 2018 Ford F-150 collided with a 2017 Ford Escape while attempting to avoid a merging vehicle. The F-150 struck the passenger side of the Escape before spinning out, crashing through a barrier wall, and landing in a nearby canal.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to assist the involved parties. The driver of the F-150, 37-year-old John Timothy Wagle of Wichita, was uninjured and did not require transport to a hospital. The Ford Escape, driven by 48-year-old Tonya Demetrius Snow of Wichita, carried three additional occupants: 22-year-old Antoin Levell Alston, 9-year-old Terrion Franklin, and 5-year-old Jayceon Franklin, all of Wichita. Ms. Snow and all three occupants were transported to Wesley Medical Center with various injuries, including suspected minor injuries and complaints of pain.

The crash temporarily disrupted traffic as authorities cleared the vehicles and conducted their investigation. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by Wichita Towing & Recovery.
