Topeka, KS (December 6, 2024) – A three-vehicle crash occurred late Thursday morning on U75 Southbound near mile marker 161, just north of I70. The accident, reported around 11:00 a.m., left two people with injuries.
According to authorities, a 2019 International Workstar rear-ended a 2018 Toyota RAV4, which was slowed due to traffic congestion. The impact pushed the Toyota into a 2016 Ford Fusion. The drivers and passengers of the involved vehicles were evaluated, and two occupants of the Toyota, identified as Charles Romans, 73, and Twila Howard, 58, both of Hoyt, KS, sustained minor injuries and were transported to Stormont Vail Hospital for treatment.
The crash caused traffic delays in the area as emergency responders worked to assist those involved and clear the scene. Local law enforcement continues to investigate the circumstances leading up to the collision. Additional details may become available as the investigation progresses.
