Hutchinson, KS (February 21, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle accident occurred Friday morning on eastbound K61 at mile marker 31.5 near S Peace Rd. The crash was reported at 7:51 a.m. and involved three vehicles. According to authorities, a 2008 Ford F-350 traveling eastbound rear-ended a stationary 2001 Chevrolet Suburban that was waiting to make a left turn. The impact pushed the Suburban into the westbound lane, where it was struck on the passenger side by a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported two individuals to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. The drivers of the Chevrolet Suburban and Chevrolet Cruze, identified as 33-year-old Kyla Jeanne Thornsley of Arlington and 19-year-old Carlee Jo Davidson of Partridge, suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford F-350, 24-year-old Kendrick Dale Nisly of Hutchinson, was uninjured. The crash caused significant traffic delays as crews worked to clear the wreckage. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
Our thoughts are with Kyla Thornsley and Carlee Davidson, and we hope for their full and swift recovery.
