Belle Plaine Twp, KS (June 24, 2024) – There were multiple injuries after a collision in the area of Belle Plaine Township on Sunday, June 23. The incident was reported at the corner of E. 120th Avenue and N. Hillside Road that afternoon around 12:50 p.m. It was reported that 43-year-old Angelica W. Morris of Rose Hill was headed eastbound on 120th in a 2023 Chrysler 300 at the time of the crash.
Morris reportedly failed to yield the right of way and collided with a 2018 Dodge Caravan driven by Chace B. Moeder of Belle Plaine. Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the impact. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid. Both drivers were injured in the crash. Morris and her passenger, 36-year-old Nicholas K. Neal of Wichita, were transported by ambulance to Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital for treatment. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
