Brewster, KS (October 19, 2024) – Two people were injured after a rollover crash in the Brewster area on Friday, October 18. The accident took place on Interstate 70 EB near KS-184 that night around 5:31 p.m. Local reports revealed that 73-year-old Jeanne B. Sanderson of Northglen, CO, was traveling eastbound in a 2008 Ford F-150 pickup truck hauling a camper.
High winds caused the camper and pickup truck to sway. The driver was unable to control the vehicle and rolled into the south ditch. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. Both Sanderson and her passenger, 32-year-old Jasmine A. Mayfield of Grand Junction, CO, were injured and transported to Citizens Health Center Hospital by ambulance for treatment. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
Our thoughts are with Jeanne B. Sanderson, Jasmine A. Mayfield, and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
