Cassoday, KS (June 25, 2024) – A passenger was injured after a single-vehicle crash in the Cassody area on Tuesday, June 25. The accident was reported on Interstate 35 SB early that morning, around 3:10 a.m. Local reports revealed that a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling southbound when it hit a deer on the interstate.
The collision left the truck with significant front-end damage, and the passenger was injured. The injured party, later identified as 46-year-old Gloria Siguenza Leon of Austin, TX, was transported by ambulance to Susan B. Allen Hospital in El Dorado for the treatment of sustained injuries. The driver, 46-year-old Ismael Ramos-Castro, also from Austin, was not hurt in the crash. No other information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
