Cunningham, KS (June 6, 2024) – Multiple people were injured after a driver failed to yield at a stop sign in the Cunningham area on Thursday, June 5. The incident was reported at the corner of SW 170th Avenue and SW 90th Street late that night around 8:45 p.m. Local reports indicated that a 2013 Chevrolet Impala was traveling west on the 90th as a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling south on the 170th.
The driver of the Impala, a 17-year-old from Nashville, failed to yield at a stop sign and crashed into the driver’s side of the Traverse. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to render the necessary aid to the involved parties. The driver of the Impala was transported by ambulance to Pratt Regional Hospital for treatment, and the driver of the Traverse, 34-year-old Kayla D. Adams of Medicine Lodge, was transferred to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
