Emporia, KS (May 18, 2024) – A motorcyclist was injured after a collision in the Emporia area on Friday, May 17. The incident was reported at the corner of South Avenue and State Street that afternoon around 12:11 p.m. Local reports revealed that a motorcycle and a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche collided at the scene.
It was later reported that the Chevy was towing a 1977 Chevrolet Camaro stopped at the intersection. The driver reportedly entered the intersection and could not see the oncoming motorcyclist. The two vehicles collided at the scene. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene. The injured rider was transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries.
