Grainfield, KS (March 26, 2024) – There were reported injuries after a multi-vehicle crash in the Grainfield area on Monday, March 25. The accident was reported that afternoon at around 3:40 p.m. on Interstate 70 near mile marker 99 in Gove County. A 2021 Freightliner semi-tractor lost control and jackknifed on the interstate.
The commercial truck hit a 2022 Dodge Durango. The truck continued to slide where it hit a 2024 Toyota Highlander driven by 72-year-old Ronald L. Busch of Lakewood, CO. A passenger in the Toyota, 61-year-old Eric T. Brown, also of Lakewood, CO, was transported to Quinter Hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. No other injuries have been reported at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
