Harmon, KS (May 6, 2024) – A passenger was injured after a two-vehicle crash in the Harmon area on Sunday, May 5. The accident took place on Interstate 35 SB near mile marker 28 in Sumner County early that morning around 8:05 a.m. Local reports revealed that two vehicles were headed southbound at the time of the crash.
It was later reported that 22-year-old Nathan George of Junction City, TX, was traveling south in a 2023 Toyota Camry on the interstate behind a 2017 Chevrolet recreation vehicle operated by 77-year-old Emette Rocheleau of Orlando, FL. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. A passenger in the Toyota, 20-year-old Haley Wyatt of Longview, TX, was injured in the crash. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities worked to clear the scene. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
