Kansas City, KS (August 5, 2024) – A driver was hurt after a two-vehicle collision in the Kansas City area on Sunday, August 4. The crash took place on Interstate 670 near Interstate 70 early that morning around 5:50 a.m. Local reports revealed that an unknown vehicle and a 2013 Ford Edge were traveling westbound in an unknown lane at the time of the crash.
The unknown vehicle sideswiped the Ford, causing the Edge to crash into the barrier wall on both sides of the interstate several times before coming to a stop on an unknown shoulder. The other driver fled the scene. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The driver of the Ford, 34-year-old Abigail T. Soto of Leavenworth, was transported by ambulance to the Kansas University Medical Center for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
