Kansas City, KS (July 24, 2024) – There were reported injuries after a multi-vehicle collision in the Kansas City area on Tuesday, July 23. The accident was reported on Interstate 70 EB near mile marker 49 around 5:50 a.m. Local reports revealed that a 2024 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by 48-year-old Eduardo Fuentes-Andrade of Kansas City was in the first lane when it slowed to avoid hitting an illegally parked 2013 Chevrolet Sonic on the shoulder. 

As a result, a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 23-year-old Peggy J. Crawford of Brockway, MI crashed into the rear of a 1997 Honda Accord driven by 26-year-old Cusbe M. Pruitt Sr. of Kansas City. The impact pushed the Honda into the back of the Dodge pickup. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Both Pruitt and his passenger, 26-year-old David A. Curtis of Kansas City, were injured and transported to the Kansas University Medical Center for treatment. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
