Kansas City, KS (June 6, 2024) – On Wednesday, June 5, a man was killed and others were hurt after a car accident in the Kansas City area. The deadly crash took place at the crossing of K-32 and Interstate 435 early that morning around 9:30 a.m. Three vehicles reportedly collided at the scene.
It was reported that 75-year-old Rickey Newman of Edwardsville was traveling in an eastbound vehicle when it collided with another car. The second vehicle then hit a third near the interstate exit ramp. Newman suffered fatal injuries and later succumbed to his injuries. Three others were also injured in the collision. The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present. No further information on the accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are managing an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
