Kansas City, KS (May 30, 2024) – On Wednesday, May 29, a motorcyclist was injured after a collision in the Kansas City area. The accident was reported on Interstate 635 SB near Shawnee Drive late that night around 7:30 p.m. Local reports revealed that 57-year-old Edward B. McDonald of Kansas City was headed southbound in a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee when he made a lane change to the right.
McDonald hit a 2004 Honda VTX motorcycle operated by 39-year-old Aaron S. Owens also from Kansas City. The impact caused the bike to overturn, and the rider was ejected. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid. Owens was transported by ambulance to the Kansas University Medical Center for the treatment of serious injuries. None of the occupants of the Jeep were hurt in the collision. No further information is currently available.
