Kansas City, KS (March 12, 2024) – There were reported injuries after a two-vehicle collision in the Kansas City area on Monday, March 11. The crash was reported early that morning at around 8:38 a.m. on Interstate 635 SB near Shawnee Drive in Wyandotte County. Local reports revealed that two vehicles were traveling southbound on the highway when the crash occurred.
According to local sources, a 2007 Buick Rendezvous driven by 56-year-old Nicholas Louis Spero of Raytown, MO left the roadway and hit a barrier wall. The Buick re-entered the road where it hit the trailer of a 2019 Ford F-350 pickup truck driven by 49-year-old Jason Bradley Walker of Skidmore, MO.
A passenger in the Buick, later identified as 67-year-old Sherry L. Brunk also of Raytown, was injured and transported to the Kansas University Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported in the collision. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
