Kansas City, KS (July 27, 2024) – There were multiple injuries reported in a two-vehicle crash in Kansas City on Friday, July 26. The accident was reported on Interstate 635 NB near Kansas Avenue late that night around 9:20 p.m. Local reports indicated that a 2019 Ford passenger car and a 2023 Tesla passenger car were traveling northbound on the interstate at the time of the accident.
The driver of the Ford, 33-year-old Arnoldo A. Odilsar of Shawnee, crashed into the rear of the Tesla. The driver of the Tesla, 30-year-old Johnt Slayden of St. Joseph, MO, and his passengers, 23-year-old Tessa N. Johnson of St. Joseph, MO, and 24-year-old Allyson R. Matthews of St. Joseph, MO, were all injured in the crash, along with the other driver. All four parties were transported by ambulance to the Kansas University Medical Center for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
