Kansas City, KS (November 16, 2024) – There were multiple injuries after a two-vehicle collision in Kansas City on Friday, November 15. The accident took place on Interstate 70 WB near mile marker 414 in Wyandotte County early that morning around 7:20 a.m. Local reports revealed that 36-year-old Arturo Mora of Kansas City was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox when he changed lanes to the right and hit a 2012 Kia Soul driven by 47-year-old Maria Arreola of Kansas City.
The impact caused the Kia to leave the road to the right and roll. Emergency responders were dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. Arreola and her two passengers, 29-year-old Jose Padilla Arreola and 57-year-old Jose Padilla Moscozo, were injured in the crash. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
Our thoughts are with Maria Arreola, Jose Padilla Arreola, Jose Padilla Moscozo, and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Because they are more likely to be ejected in the case of a rollover, unrestrained passengers account for the majority of these fatalities.
