Kansas City, KS - Two Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on I-70

Kansas City, KS (March 18, 2024) – Two people were hospitalized following a crash involving a commercial vehicle in the Kansas City area on Monday morning, March 18. The accident occurred on Interstate 70 near Interstate 435 early that morning at around 6:10 a.m. Local reports revealed that a 2022 Dodge Charger traveling westbound crashed into the side of a semi-truck that was stopped on the ramp. 

After the impact, the Charger came to a rest on the highway. Both the driver and passenger in the Dodge were transported to Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS for treatment. The injured parties were later identified as 25-year-old Vanessa Lupian Moreno and 28-year-old Ezrah Adams, both from Charlotte, NC. The operator of the big rig, later identified as 61-year-old Grant Carroll Dorsey of Greenwood, MO, was not hurt in the crash. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local authorities.
