Larned, KS (May 1, 2024) – A man was seriously hurt in a multi-vehicle crash in the Larned area on Monday, April 29. The accident was reported on K-156 near K-246 at around 12:01 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 2012 Cadillac SRX was heading eastbound on the highway when it attempted to pass a 2007 International semi-trailer.
It was then that the driver of the Cadillac sideswiped a westbound 2011 Kenworth semi-trailer. The impact caused the SRX to hit the semi-trailer it was trying to pass. The driver of the Cadillac, later identified as 39-year-old Morgan Williams of Wichita, was transported by ambulance to Pawnee County Hospital in serious condition.
Neither of the truck drivers involved, identified as 33-year-old Bradley J. Walker of Wichita and 38-year-old Jared D. Kirchgassner of McLouth, were injured in the accident. No other information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
