Kansas Reckless Driving Crashes
Reckless driving can take many forms, with the most common examples being distraction and speeding. Everyone on the road is less safe when people are driving while distracted. Between 2017 and 2021, there were about 14,000 fatal accidents involving distracted driving across the country. In 2021 alone, 3,522 people died in the United States because of distracted driving. Any amount of distraction makes it more likely that you will be in a crash that could change your life, and the most recent data shows that distracted drivers will take their eyes off the road about 10 percent of the time. In the past few years, distracted driving has become a bigger problem. In 2022, about 17 percent of all car crashes in Kansas were caused by distracted drivers.
