Lawrence, KS (July 27, 2024) – On Friday, July 26, three people were hurt after a rear-end collision in the Lawrence area. The accident took place at the crossing of K-10 and Wakarusa Drive that afternoon around 3:50 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 33-year-old woman from Lee’s Summit, MO was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe when she rear-ended a 2024 GMC Yukon.
It was revealed that the Tahoe was following too close to the Yukon and was unable to avoid hitting the back of the SUV. The 45-year-old Olathe woman driving the GMC was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital in Topeka. The other driver and a seven-year-old passenger were hurt in the crash. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The Lee’s Summit woman is facing several charges related to the incident. No further information on the accident is currently available.
