Intersections are a hotspot for serious car accidents across the country. In essence, you are essentially entering the path of another vehicle each time you enter an intersection, and many drivers fail to yield the right of way as needed. Left-hand turns are a significant contributing factor in these types of accidents. According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), nearly 22 percent of crashes nationwide involve left-hand turns, and it is one of the most dangerous maneuvers you can make behind the wheel.
