Fatal Rollover Crashes in Kansas
There are many potential factors that can contribute to a serious crash. One that many people don’t think about is vehicle type. Top-heavy vehicles like SUVs and pickup trucks are more likely to overturn in the event of a crash, leaving occupants at risk of being ejected and suffering life-threatening injuries. Rollover crashes have become commonplace on Kansas roads. Despite making up less than 3 percent of reported collisions nationwide, almost 33 percent of traffic deaths in the United States involve rollovers. The majority of these accidents involve just a single vehicle.
